Victoria von Mach

MSc Biologist

Vicky studied zoology, biological oceanography and fishery sciences at the University of Hamburg. In summer 2005 she worked for six weeks as a volunteer at the Red Sea Environmental Centre in Dahab. Fascinated by the underwater life, especially the reef fishes, of the Red Sea, she moved to Dahab in 2007. Vicky collected the data of her master thesis in the Gulf of Aqaba, concerning cooperative hunting behavior of moray eels and groupers. Since summer 2008 she is Reef Check Scientist, joining several Reef Check surveys on site. Vicky is Divemaster with more than 500 dives, whereof 250 are work dives.
